How will our reluctant vampire ever get out of this vicious cycle? THIS VIDEO CONTAINS SCENES OF VIOLENCE. VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.

The Sweater

The Sweater by Sheldon Cohen, National Film Board of Canada
In this animated short, Roch Carrier recounts the most mortifying moment of his childhood. At a time when all his friends worshipped Maurice “Rocket” Richard and wore his number 9 Canadiens hockey jersey, the boy was mistakenly sent a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey from Eaton’s. Unable to convince his mother to send it back, he must face his friends wearing the colours of the opposing team. This short film, based on the book The Hockey Sweater, is an NFB classic that appeals to hockey lovers of all ages.
A good hockey story is what we need at this time of the hockey lock out! Are you a Leaf fan or Canadian fan? Maybe you are a fan of neither one. Would you be embarrassed to wear a jersey of an opposing team to your favourite? Did the ending surprise you?

A little to-do list hack that helps you get stuff done

This is a handy video tip by Neville Medhora.
I’ve always been obsessive about the way I keep simple to-do lists for the day, and I used to change my methods more often than Lady Gaga changes outfits.

But for about 4 years now I’ve used the same to-do list method which seems to work really well for me.

It’s simply a pen and paper … and I’ll shut up now and you can see it live:
BY THE WAY: I only plan my tasks the day before. I rarely ever add on work for the same day (this is how I stay sane).
Here’s a sample of my to-do list. Notice where I draw all the lines:
It’s Wednesday now … and maybe if you’re dreading Thursday a bit, you can plan out your day the same way I do. It might work for you, it might not.

Give it a try and see if it boosts your productivity. 🙂

If you have a friend who slacks a lot, send this to them also.
