Old Music still rocking today!!!

Performed by Agnieszka Klosiewicz (violin), Waldemar Malicki (piano) and the “Philharmonic Wit”.
Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750) was a German composer, organist, harpsichordist, violist, and violinist of the Baroque Period. He enriched many established German styles through his skill in counterpoint, harmonic and motivic organisation, and the adaptation of rhythms, forms, and textures from abroad, particularly from Italy and France.

Spring Ahead

In addition to a humourous monologue on daylight savings time, Ellen talks about mnemonic devices. A mnemonic device is a little phrase or rhyme used as a memory tool. These devices can by used by students of all ages and all levels of study. Here are 2 examples:

To remember the Great Lakes

The names of the Great Lakes are: Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie, Ontario. You can remember the order from west to east with the following:

Super Man Helps Every One.

To remember the names of the Planets

The Planets (without poor Pluto) are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Noodles.

What mnemonic device can you think of? (one you know or one you’ve made up)
