Wonder, a book written by R.J. Palacio, is about a 5th grade boy, born with a facial deformity and the struggles and emotions he goes through. Although it is a book written for children/young adults, it is a good books for all ages to read. It helps to deal with the idea of acceptance of all people and less pre-judging based on physical apperance. It is available at the Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public library!
Why is it sometimes difficult when interacting with people who have facial deformities?
Anyone have any suggestions or strategies?
